A plant-powered climate activist passionate about transforming how we consume in Ireland. Our vision? To make sustainable, community-based living the norm, and ensure that everyone can easily support local businesses and eco-conscious services.

At The Earthy Marketplace (TEM), we believe in the power of our purchases. Every day, we cast votes for the kind of world we want to live in with the money we spend. Conscious consumerism is all about making those votes count—choosing businesses that prioritise people and the planet over profit.

Our mission is simple:
To connect people with businesses that are committed to sustainable, ethical practices and to make these choices more visible and accessible. Whether it’s choosing a zero-waste refillery, supporting a local farm, or enjoying a meal at a restaurant with plant-based options, TEM is here to help you navigate conscious choices.

What We Offer
TEM is more than just a marketplace—it’s a movement. Through our platform, members can discover:

1. Sustainable Shops: Businesses offering everything from fashion and beauty to home goods, all with sustainability at the core.
2. Farm Finder: Independent growers providing seasonal, organic produce.
3. Earthy Eats: Food places offering vegan or plant-based menu options.

Memberships

At TEM, we offer three tiered membership plans designed to empower conscious businesses to join our mission for sustainable consumerism:

• The Germination Package (€6.50/month): This basic membership plan provides a personalized business listing for your business or farm on The Earthy Marketplace. Benefits include:

  • Business description
  • Business feature photos
  • Contact details, opening hours
  • Links to social media and your website
  • Video input and geolocation
  • Ability to advertise upcoming events on Earthy Events
  • Ability to advertise special offers using Earthy Offers

• The Seedling Package (€8.50/month): This standard membership plan includes all the features of The Germination Package, plus:

  • Ability to advertise available jobs and volunteering roles with Earthy Notices
  • One native Irish tree will be planted on behalf of your business each month to help reforest and rewild Ireland. The TEM Native Tree icon will display on your listing, indicating your contribution.

• The Full Turnip Package (€9.50/month): This gold membership plan includes all the features of The Seedling Package, plus:

  • Two native Irish trees will be planted on behalf of your business each month to help reforest and rewild Ireland. Two TEM Native Tree icons will be displayed on your listing, indicating your contribution.
  • Businesses opting for this premium package will be marked as "featured" and listed in descending alphabetical order from the top of the directory.

All payments will be taken automatically every month on the same date as the date of registration.

Earthy Friends

In addition to our business memberships, we believe in fostering a supportive network for NGOs, charities, and not-for-profit organisations committed to environmental and social causes. Our Earthy Friends program provides a platform for these groups to raise awareness of their work and promote their events and volunteering opportunities.

To become an Earthy Friend, organisations must meet the following criteria:

• Be a legitimate NGO, charity, or not-for-profit organisation.
• Be rooted in work related to one or more of the following areas: Environment, Community, Sustainability, Climate Mitigation and/or Adaptation, Circular Economy, Animal Welfare, Animal Rights, Climate Action, or Climate Awareness.

By joining as an Earthy Friend, your organisation can benefit from:

• Increased visibility within the conscious community.
• Promotion of events and volunteering roles.
• Access to resources and networking opportunities with other eco-conscious organisations.

Our Community Services

• Earthy Notices: Job and volunteering opportunities with eco-conscious organisations.
• Earthy Events: Sustainable events across Ireland, from beach clean-ups to food markets.

We Plant Trees! 🌳
Your subscription can help plant native Irish trees through our partnership with Reforest Nation. Together, we’re not just reducing our carbon footprint—we’re actively reforesting and rewilding Ireland.
