Wild Folk was created to work in harmony with Mama Earth while helping to inspire sustainable and creative change.

Hello I'm Fiona Griffin the founder of Wild Folk. My goal is to help customers break free from conventional fast fashion stores and encourage them to purchase pieces that work with their existing wardrobe. I have worked in the fashion industry for nearly 20 years and I grew tired of the overconsumption and working for reckless fashion retailers destroying the planet for monetary gain.

I wanted to create a space that not only sells vintage clothes but that offers experience retail, a space that teaches the positive impact an individual can make while shopping circular fashion. I handpick each and every piece inside my little studio and I always make a conscious effort to choose quality over quantity. Each piece is thoughtfully handpicked from items already in circulation, this means that all items are either vintage, preloved, reclaimed or upcycled back to life.

I focus on the life cycle of each product and I rise to the challenge to find creative ways to reuse our waste. I rework denim to make it unique and add character, I alter and mend pieces to extend there life so they can be enjoyed for longer. I rescue old fabric by naturally dyeing with food waste and fallen nature making a tired piece wearable again. If the dyed fabric is no longer deemed wearable I make something beautiful by upcycling it into our handwoven wall hangings. The only item I buy new is the recycled cotton cord for my handwoven wall hangings. This cord is made from recycled textile from both landfill and production waste so I am still staying true to the Wild Folk ethos.

Every piece I bring into my studio has a past life, carries an interesting story and now begins a new journey with us.
